Laboratory Fume Hoods
The design
of the LOC's By-pass Fume Hoods Superstructure provide
you with maximum safety at minimum cost.
Standard Options
for by-pass fume hoods are as follows:
- Combination
sashes or sash stops, allows
you to maintain proper face velocities
while exhausting less air.
- All
of our By-pass Fume Hoods come equipped with
full view sashes, providing an unobstructed
view of the hood interior work
area.
- For safety,
the sash has laminated safety glass
and is provided with a full width flush
pull.
- A counter-weight
provides for one finger operation
of the sash in any position.
- The face of the
Fume Hood is designed to minimize turbulence and provide smooth movement
of air into the hood. This results in a more efficient operation
of the Fume Hood at face velocities from 80 to 125 Feet Per Minute
(FPM).
- The airfoil
(below the closed sash) allows air to flow continuously across the
work surface inside the hood.
- Testing each
Fume Hood meets our rigid standards and is tested against the stringent
ASHRAE 110 Standard. ASHRAE 110 is the industry standard for Fume
Hood safety testing.
Fixtures and Lighting
Our By-pass Fume Hoods
allow you to customize your fixture package according to your requirements.
The design allows for easy installation of service fixtures and routing
of interior plumbing and electrical lines. All by-pass fume hoods superstructures come
with fluorescent lighting mounted above and sealed with a safety glass
panel isolating it from corrosive fumes and hazardous vapors. Tube lights
are easily replaced through the top front of the fume hood superstructure.
